A housing (12, 14) has a pivot member (20) rotatably mounted therein on a pivot pin (16). A pair of members (38, 40) are pivotally mounted on the pivot pin (16) adjacent opposite sides of the pivot member (20). The first member (38) is frictionally coupled (48,52,54) to the housing. The other member (40) is biased to a neutral position by a centering spring (66, 68). A cross arm (74,75) movable in the pivot member (20) to alternately couple and uncouple one or the other of the said pair of members (38, 40) from the pivot member, depending upon the energization state of a mode-select solenoid (24). A detent follower releasably holds the pivot member in a displaced position when in the spring-centered mode. A rotary potentiometer coupled to the pivot member generates an electrical signal representing the position of the pivot member (20) and a lever handle (26) attached thereto.

The control lever assembly comprises a housing 1 mounted therein with the possibility of rotation around the axis 2 of the lever 5, step 3, a lock 4 installed between the housing 1 and the lever 3, the spring 5 of the return of the lever 3 to the neutral position. The control lever assembly is provided with a friction element 6, 20 mounted in a slot 7 of the housing 1, rotatable about the axis 2 of the lever 3, and a switching element 8 for coupling the lever 3 in one position with the friction element 6, and in a different position with spring 5 return lever 3 to the neutral position.
The switching element 8 consists of a rod 9 located in the central groove 10 of the lever 3 with the possibility of axial movement and fixation in the first and second positions of the switching element 8 and rigidly connected with the transverse cantilever lf 35 placed in the through radial return spring of the lever in a neutral position.

The assembly according to claim 2, characterized in that intersecting longitudinal and arcuate grooves are made in each flange, and the transverse console is interconnected with the longitudinal groove of the first flange and arcuate paired of the second flange in one position of the switching element, and with the longitudinal the groove of the second flange and the arcuate groove of the first flange in a different position of the switching element.

The friction element 6 is provided with disks 23. With the transverse console 11 there is a rigidly connected finger 24, which mates with the return spring 5. The latch 24 is equipped with a roller 25 for coupling to the valleys 26 and a surface 27 of sector 22. A return spring 5 is coupled with an abutment 28 of body 1. Sector 22 is connected to an electrical output potentiometer 29. The disks 23 are pressed against the housing 1 by the spring 30.
The device works as follows.
When the unit operates in the mode with locking the deflected lever 3 in any position with the help of the friction element 6, the mode selection solenoid 17 and the fixation solenoid 18 are turned off. By the action of the spring 19, the rod 9 of the switching element 8 is in the lower position.
When the handle 21 of the lever 3 on the axis 2 relative to the housing is deflected, rotation from the lever 3 is transferred to the screw rod 9, the transverse console 11c with rollers 20 to the flange 13.through its longitudinal groove 15, as well as the friction element 6 associated with the flange 13. control from the handle 21 of the lever 3 is held in a new position by frictional engagement of the discs 23 with the housing 1.
In this mode, the latch 4 does not interact with the sector 23 of the lever 3, and the flange 14 is fixed as the associated roller 20 slides in the arcuate groove 16 of the flap 14.

When the force is removed from the handle 21 of the lever 3, the latter is fixed in a certain position when the roller 25 of the lock 4 is located in one of the cavities 26 of the sector 22, and when the roller 25 slides along the surface 27 of the sector 22 the lever 3 returns to the neutral position 5 the roller 25 into one of the valleys 26 when the lever 3 is moved to the neutral position.
In this mode, the flange 13 is stationary, since the roller 20 associated with it slides in the arc-shaped groove 16 of the flange 13.
